Hi!
My name is Dale Bosgra and I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta.
I make handcrafted wooden objects in my woodworking shop and I am happy that you have dropped by my website to have a look around at some of my work!
I have been woodworking for about 30 years and love making items that people can enjoy using in their home or as gifts for others.
Please contact me through my contact page if you have any questions, if you would like to purchase something, or if you would like to commission a piece. Check out my testimonials page to see some custom pieces that I have made for customers.
I am only selling in the Calgary area at this time and do not offer shipping, we can arrange a place and a time to get you your item.
I accept cash, e transfer, and I also have a square terminal to accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Care notes.
All charcuterie, cheese, bread and cutting boards are finished with Claphams Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish which is food safe!
I have Claphams Beeswax Salad Bowl Finish now in stock on my website! It can be reapplied whenever the board starts looking dry. Clean the board with warm water and a mild dishwashing detergent and dry thoroughly with a towel. Stand the board on an edge to dry, never lay it flat when drying and storing, or it may warp. When you need to, rub more finish all over the board and let sit for a bit, then polish the board with a paper towel. If the board is rough you can sand in the direction of the grain with 320 grit sandpaper after it is cleaned and dried and before you add more finish.
Boards should not be put in the dishwasher or immersed in water at any time this will ruin the board!
The above care applies for wooden utensils such as my Spurtles,
All my handcrafted objects such as tables should not have standing liquids left on them, please use coasters and wipe up any spills as soon as possible.
Anything made out of wood expands and contracts and can change colour from extremes in temperature, humidity and sun exposure. I build items with that in mind but wood is an organic thing. Spots, scratches, etc. may appear but add to the patina of the piece. The more an object is used tells a story of life in your home. Every time you touch a handcrafted wooden object your hands and their natural oils polish and smooth the wood better than a hand plane, sandpaper, or finish can match. Memories are in those marks. My own tables have marks from my family from over the last 20 plus years! Embrace them!
Please do not hesitate to message me through my contacts page.
